Configuring hourly rates and billable work
Set project hourly billing rates, differentiate billable from non-billable tasks, and manage rate histories.
Summary: Set hourly rates per project to automatically compute invoice subtotals from logged engineering hours.
Configuring hourly rates
Under Project Settings, enter the Hourly rate (e.g. $175.00).
- Any hours logged against tickets in this project inherit this rate.
- Leave the rate blank for non-billable, internal, or pro-bono projects.
Rate locking on invoices
When you generate an invoice, the current hourly rate is permanently captured on the invoice lines. Updating a project's rate later will never modify past or finalized invoices.
