Workspace and project discussion channels

Accessing team chat

Click Messages in the left sidebar to open the messaging hub.

Types of channels

• Workspace Channels: Open to all workspace members (e.g. #general, #announcements).
• Project Channels: Bound to a specific project (e.g. #eng-core). Messages are contextually linked to that project.
• Direct Messages: Private, 1-on-1 conversations between team members.

Creating a new channel

1. Click + New Channel in the sidebar.
2. Enter a channel name (names are automatically lowercase and hyphenated).
3. (Optional) Link the channel to a project.
4. Click Create.
